REINVENTING

Situation
A federally owned, emerging country, WHO approved manufacturer of vaccines and sera wanted to partially privatize the company, and attract the investment necessary to expand the entity to enable meeting local needs and become a major global supplier of strategic vaccines.

Actions
Led a project with a team comprised of senior members of the Ministry of Health, WHO, PAHO and local consultants. Created a comprehensive plan that created a global market strategy including target product and technology portfolios, organization requirements, funding requirements, an action plan and a prioritized partnering plan with multiple candidates (and potential deal structures) for each product / technology / funding / market penetration need.

Results
This unique approach led to the creation of, as described by a leading trade journal, the most robust product pipelines in their critical therapeutic areas within the pharmaceutical industry.
